My artwork emphasizes a strong sense of design and color. I love to show
movement, contrast, line, and emotion in my work. I would describe my
creations as quick emotional responses to things I see and feel. I enjoy
producing works that are more impressions of what I see than realistic
representations. I try to make the viewer react to my work on their own
level and just enjoy it! Sometimes I lean towards abstraction while other
works are quite realistic. It just all depends on my mood at the time I
create!
I primarily work in watercolor, but often use mixed media with watercolor to
create collages. My latest endeavor is to discover the possibilities of
creating in acrylics and maybe oils!!! My career dream upon retiring from
teaching art has recently become a reality.
I am a member of an artist’s co-op studio called Studio 7.5 in a fabulous
space above a coffee house in old Canal Winchester. This antique building
provides great light for artists in an exciting, creative atmosphere. I
feel like the sky is the limit!!!
