It is the beauty in Nature that inspires me most, especially the play of light and color on objects, whether landscape or still life.
I am primarily a painter in oils, but also work
in water media, pastels, and printmaking. I have two degrees, a BFA and a BAE,
from Ohio State University. I have also done graduate work, and have taken
additional classes and workshops in such topics as experimental water media
painting, photography and dark room techniques, the art of hand made books, and
landscape painting. I have been a member of the Columbus Art League, Artreach of
Columbus, the OEA, the NEA, and the NAEA. I am now a member of the
Lancaster Art Guild, the Ohio Plein Air Society (OPAS), and am a founding member
of the Monarch Gallery in Lancaster, Ohio. I have been in a number of group
shows and one woman shows which include: 1. The Columbus Art League Fall show, 1984 I have received the Best Show of the Year Award
from the Fairfield County Arts Council in 1986. I have also been a Jennings
Scholar in 1984. My art work is in several private collections in the
eastern
