Built originally for Samuel and Sarah Maccracken in 1832, this handsome Federal home of brick and native limestone is furnished today as it would have been in the 1830s with some original pieces and numerous early Fairfield County items.

The Ohio Glass Museum reflects the importance of glass in the history and development of Lancaster and Fairfield County's financial stability from 1888 to present. Our educational and artistic displays of glass take the visitor through the development and production of not only industrial glass, but also pressed, blown and art glass. Our continuously showing movie, "Born of Fire", is an excellent introduction to the museum and history of the area glass companies. Stop by and see our glassblower at work.

The Sherman House Museum in Lancaster, Ohio is the birthplace of General William Tecumseh Sherman, his younger brother U.S. Senator John Sherman and home of the remarkable Sherman family. The Sherman House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Civil War Preservation Trail and has been a memorial to the family since 1951.
