Monarch Gallery Artist - Amy Atkinson

Handmade fine jewelry in silver, bronze and copper

Amy Atkinson

Amy Atkinson has a background in fine art, a BFA in graphic design, and a lifelong love of unique handmade jewelry. Her jewelry design is clean-lined and contemporary, with themes from the ocean and from geometric forms.

Amy began working in jewelry and ceramics in 1971 and later worked as a graphic designer. In 2004 she heard about metal clay and became excited by its combination of design, jewelry, and clay.  She took a class and has been making metal clay jewelry ever since. In 2006 she began Handful of Silver and now sells her jewelry at art fairs and galleries, and also teaches classes. In 2009 she won First Prize at Art on Fair. Amy is a member of the PMC Guild and has been certified as a PMC Artisan. She is a member of Monarch Gallery in Lancaster, Ohio and serves on the board.
